ABC Soup
Ingredients:
300 gm Pork Ribs
1 no Large Carrot, cut into 1-inch pieces
3 no Large Potatoes
2 no Large Tomato, cut in quater piece
2 no Large Onion, peeled and cut into quater piece
2 slices Ginger
1 tsp Crushed Pepper Corn
2 no Pickled Sour Plum
3 lit Water
Salt to taste
Preparation:
Pork Ribs
This is a quick way to remove the gunk from the Pork Ribs. Put the Pork Ribs in a pot with just enough cold water to cover them. Bring to a boil. Pour away the water. Rinse the Pork Ribs under the tap to get rid of any blood or other impurities.
Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1 inch cubes. If they are not immediately used, soak them in water so that they do not turn black.
Cooking the Soup
Fill a double boiler or a soup pot with 3 lit of water. Once the water boils, put in the prepared pork ribs, slices ginger, onions, tomato, carrots, pickled sour plum and pepper corn and boil on medium heat. Remove any impurities on the surface with a ladle. Turn the flame to low.
Simmer on very low heat for about 2 hours.
Add salt to taste, and enjoy the ABC soup!
