冷当鸡 Chicken In Rendang Minang



A)   2 whole Chicken - Cut into pieces, wash & dry it.

B)   1/2 no shredder coconut  - Pan-fry the shredder coconut till brown and dry.
                                                  Then blend it set aside.(Kerisik)

C)   5 no            Big Onion
     10 cloves     Garlic
       9 stalks      Lemon Grass
       1 pc           Ginger
       1 pc           Fresh Turmeric
      15 pcs        Dried Red Chilli
      20 pcs       Chilli Padi
        1 pc         Galanga

D)    3 nos       Coconut (Santan)

E)    Salt - To taste
        Turmeric Leaves
        Lime Leaves

Blend ingredient C & stir-fry till fragrant. Add in Chicken to cook follow by the coconut (santan) & bring to boil for 20 minutes or till chicken cooked.

Put in salt to taste & add in kerisik, turmeric leaves and lime leaves. Well mixed all the ingredients or till the gravy thicken. Garnish with lime leaves & serve with rice.
