奶油霜的香蕉蛋糕 Banana Cake With Butter Frosting


























Ingredients:
2 1/2 cup All Purpose Flour
1 1/2 cups Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Salt

1/2 cup Shortening or Oil
1 cups Mashed Banana

2/3 cup Either Buttermilk, Sour Milk or 1 tbsp vinegar
2 nos Egg
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
Butter Frosting

Method :

  1)  Grease and lightly flour, two 9" x 1 1/2" round baking pan.
  2)  In a mixing bowl combined first 5 ingredients & sift it.
  3)  Add shortening and banana beat at low speed of electric mixer
  4)  Sift flour mixture again before add into the shortening & banana mixture, well combined it.
  5)  Add either buttermilk, sour milk or vinegar, egg & vanilla, beat 2 minutes on medium speed.
  6)  Turn batter into prepared tin.
  7)  Bake at 350 C for 30 minutes or till done. (I use 250 C for 1 hour)
  8)  Cool 10 minutes on wire.
  9)  Remove from pan; cool thoroughly.
10)  Frost with butter frosting.

Classic Vanilla Butter cream Frosting

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter (2 sticks or ½ pound), softened (but not melted!) Ideal texture should be like ice cream.
3-4 cups confectioners (powdered) sugar, SIFTED
¼ teaspoon table salt
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
up to 4 tablespoons milk or heavy cream

Instructions
Beat butter for a few minutes with a mixer with the paddle attachment on medium speed.
Add 3 cups of powdered sugar and turn your mixer on the lowest speed (so the sugar doesn’t blow everywhere) until the sugar has been incorporated with the butter.
Increase mixer speed to medium and add vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk/cream and beat for 3 minutes.
If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add remaining sugar.
If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add remaining milk 1 tablespoons at a time.
