Ingredients:
1 can Baby Abalone in Soup
250 g Dried Shiitake Mushrooms - Soak in water till soft
5 cloves Minced Garlic
1 tbsp Grapeseed Oil
1 cup Mushroom Water (Water that soak Dried Shiitake Mushrooms)
2 tbsp Mushroom Sauce
1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1/2 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Rice Wine
1 tbsp Corn Flour mix in 80 ml (⅓ c) water
For the mushrooms marinade:
1 tsp Minced Ginger
1 tbsp Minced Onion
1 tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Sesame Oil
1 tbsp Sugar
1 tbsp Rice Wine
For Garnish:
Boiled Broccoli
Method:
1) Soak the mushrooms in water till soft.
2) Remove the stems (save the mushroom water).
3) Marinate the mushroom with mushroom marinade in a medium sized bowl, for at least 1/2 hour.
4) Heat the oil in a large frying pan and sauté the garlic, then add the mushrooms and sauté until fragrant, about 2-3 minutes.
5) Add the mushroom water, mushroom sauce, light soy sauce, sugar & a a drop of dark soy sauce.
6) Bring to boil and simmer with the lid on for 30 minutes.
7) Add in baby abalone and uncover to allow the sauce to reduce, about 5-10 minutes.
8) Add the rice wine and bring back to the boil, then add in the corn flour mixture to thicken the sauce.
9) Before serving sprinkle over the sesame oil and enjoy!
