Ingredients:
2 tbsp Flour
5 no Apples, peeled, cored and sliced 1/4-inch thick (5 cups)
1/2 cup Raisins
3 tbsp Sugar
1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
1/3 cup Chopped Nuts
1/2 no Lemon Juice
1 sheets Frozen Puff Pastry
For Garnish:
Confectioners' Sugar
Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream
Method:
1) Preheat the oven to 200 degrees C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2) Core and slice apple 1/4-inch thick.
3) Well mix apple, flour, sugar, cinnamon, lemon juice, raisin & nuts. Set aside.
4) Lay out 1 sheet of puff pastry on a clean, flat, lightly floured surface.
5) Spread the apple filling evenly onto the puff pasty surface, leaving a 1/2-inch clean edge on all sides.
6) Roll into a log, folding the edges at each end beneath the log and brush with some egg brush.
7) Carefully place the strudel on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
8) Bake the strudel until golden brown, 30 to 40 minutes.
9) Remove from the oven and cool for 15 minutes before cutting into 2-inch slices.
10) Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar just before serving.
11) Serve plain or with ice cream.
